BArch(Hons) Dip Arch RIBA RIAS

Jenny studied at the Mackintosh School of Architecture in Glasgow, graduating with first class honours in 2015 and her postgraduate diploma in 2016.

She has worked at design-led practices in London, Glasgow and Edinburgh; working on projects of various scales on complex sites, both historic and new-build, from conception to completion. Jenny’s interest and experience lies in sensitive architecture that is both grounded in and responsive to its physical and social context, striving to elevate the ordinary through carefully crafted buildings, spaces and details that bring joy to the everyday and touch lightly on the environment.

Jenny qualified as an Architect in March 2020 and since qualifying has been involved in professional studies education, speaking at the Edinburgh School of Architecture and Landscape Architecture in the Summers of 2020 and 2021. She also sits on the board of directors of APEAS, the part III examination provider in Scotland, as a newly qualified director since January 2021.

Joining Studio Sam Causer in September 2021, Jenny was drawn to the studio’s care and respect for historic buildings, and socially responsive work. She is interested in learning more about conversation, through understanding each building’s history and fabric to inform sensitive adaptation and intervention for modern life whilst striving for energy efficiency.
