ZeroMargate is a research collaboration between Studio Sam Causer and the Manchester School of Architecture, funded by the Arts & Humanities Research Council Design Exchange Partnership in collaboration with the Design Museum and the Future Observatory.

The project promotes the re-use of the coastal heritage and seaside infrastructure in Margate, such as the historic shelters and other landscape structures and re-define them as drivers of change for the green transition.

A series of workshops, talks, exhibitions and 'sharings' are taking place throughout 2023, culminating in a framework for the future development of Margate Coastal Park, a design research project we have been developing in various phases since 2015, including a series of exhibitions in 2016 called Blushing Pavilion
