We commissioned Kent Gardens Trust, an historical gardens research body recognised by Historic England, comprised of volunteer researchers to explore and report on the history of the development of the area and principle of the Margate Coastal Park.



Their findings are based on primary sources, such as the minutes of the Margate Borough Council, held in the Kent Archive at Maidstone.



The relevant sections from the minutes, extracted by the Kent Gardens Trust researchers are available from us upon request.
